Bigmind Desktop captures supported meetings on your Mac without adding a separate notetaker to the call. This is an on-device capture option, alongside the Chrome extension.
#Get started
- Download Bigmind for macOS. The current release supports Apple Silicon Macs.
- Sign in and grant the capture permissions requested during setup.
- Confirm that your administrator has assigned you to client capture and that your plan and policies allow this method.
- Review the app’s auto-record preference. Bigmind can detect supported meeting activity and prompt you to start capture.
#During the meeting
Keep Bigmind Desktop running while capturing. Use its native meeting surface to check status and access meeting controls, call scripts, and coaching. The browser extension’s bot menu is a separate interface.
#Transcript and recording policies
Your organization’s client capture policies determine which meetings can be transcribed and recorded. Those policies are separate, so a transcript does not always include a video recording.
#If you are assigned to a bot
Bigmind does not also transcribe locally when your capture method is set to bot. A remote bot joins the meeting independently of your Mac. See Via meeting bot for that approach.
