Meeting summary automations run when a meeting summary becomes available. They are useful when the finished summary should trigger a second workflow, especially for deal or account review.
Built-in behavior: an associated completed meeting already contributes to the built-in Deal or Account refresh. You do not need a Meeting Summary Ready automation to update Frameworks, Deal warnings, or the rolling Deal summary.
#Purpose
Use meeting summary automations when the completed summary should trigger additional work such as a notification, custom document, handoff, or meeting-preparation workflow.
#When it runs
The automation uses the Meeting summary ready trigger. The run is tied to a meeting session and can use the new summary together with associated CRM context.
#Common templates
- Meeting summary follow-up: Re-evaluates an associated deal after a new meeting summary is available.
- Pre-meeting prep brief: Uses prior meeting context as part of the prep for a future external meeting.
#Recommended setup
- Use this trigger when the automation should wait for the summary rather than running immediately when the meeting ends.
- Make the expected output clear: deal review, next-step guidance, prep material, or notification.
- Avoid calling legacy Deal Framework update tools; the built-in refresh owns Framework evaluation.
- Run a test with a meeting that has an associated deal or account.
