Rules control which mini apps appear in Sidekick for different contexts. They let you show the right workspace, dashboard, or workflow when a user is looking at a CRM record or website.
What rules do
When Sidekick opens, Bigmind detects the current context, checks the configured rules, and loads the matching mini app with useful context. This gives users relevant tools automatically without making them choose a mini app manually every time.
Supported contexts
- Accounts: Show account research, health, activity, planning, or relationship views.
- Deals: Show qualification, risk, next-step, mutual action plan, or forecast views.
- Contacts and leads: Show person research, outreach, qualification, or enrichment views.
- Websites: Show website research, qualification, competitive intelligence, or enrichment tools.
How matching works
- Detect context: Sidekick identifies whether the user is viewing a CRM record or website.
- Extract object information: Bigmind determines the object type and available record identifiers.
- Apply rules: Bigmind checks the default rule and any user-specific override.
- Load mini app: Sidekick displays the selected mini app and passes context to it.
Default rules
Default rules apply to everyone in the workspace. Configure defaults when a mini app should appear for all users who open Sidekick on a matching account, deal, contact, lead, or website.
User overrides
User-specific overrides let you show a different mini app for a particular team member. Use overrides when a role, team, or pilot group needs a different Sidekick experience from the workspace default.
Configure rules
- Go to Settings > AI > Mini Apps.
- Open Rules.
- Set the default mini app for each supported context.
- Add user-specific overrides when needed.
- Save your changes.
Troubleshooting
- Make sure the mini app is active and published.
- Check that the rule is configured for the context you are viewing.
- Confirm the current CRM record or website is supported by Sidekick.
- Refresh the Sidekick panel after changing rules.
