Organization notification settings let owners define the default experience for everyone in the workspace. These defaults control which notifications start enabled, which delivery channel is used, and when scheduled digests are sent.
Who can manage this page
Only organization owners can update company notification settings.
Open company notification settings
- Go to Settings.
- Open Notification settings.
Users can still manage their own preferences from Settings > Profile & Account > Notifications. Their page starts from your company defaults and can show Organization's default when they have not overridden a setting.
What you can configure
- On or Off: Decide whether a notification type is enabled by default.
- Delivery channel: For supported notifications, choose Email + Message, Email only, or Message only.
- Schedule: For daily and weekly digests, choose the send time. Weekly items also let you choose the day of week.

Default schedules
When your organization has not saved a custom schedule yet, Bigmind starts with these defaults:
- Daily digests: 9:00 AM
- Weekly digests and weekly account updates: Friday at 9:00 AM
- Coaching opportunities: Wednesday at 9:00 AM
Users see these schedules as their starting point in personal notification settings unless they create an override.
How personal overrides interact with company defaults
- If a user leaves a notification on Organization's default, Bigmind uses your company toggle and channel.
- If a user switches a notification to On or Off, that personal choice overrides the company default for that user.
- If a user resets the setting to Organization's default, Bigmind uses the company configuration again.
Recommendations
- Keep immediate notifications focused on alerts people need to act on quickly.
- Use daily and weekly digests to reduce noise while preserving visibility.
- Set manager-only notifications deliberately so leaders receive team signals without overwhelming individual contributors.
