Deal update automations

Review deals when CRM changes happen and turn updates into qualification, forecast, and next-step guidance.

Deal update automations run when a deal changes in your CRM. They help teams re-check deal quality, risk, and next steps when important deal fields or stages change.

Built-in behavior: relevant CRM changes already mark the Deal for Bigmind’s built-in refresh. That refresh maintains applicable Deal Frameworks, warnings, the rolling Deal summary, and CRM suggestions. A Deal update automation is only needed for additional organization-specific work.

#Purpose

Use a Deal update automation for outputs beyond the built-in refresh, such as routing an approval, notifying a channel, creating a custom review document, or applying a specialized workflow.

#When it runs

The automation uses the On deal update trigger. Templates can also be limited to a specific stage transition when the automation should only run for one part of the pipeline.

#Common templates

  • Deal update reviewer: Re-evaluates a deal after a CRM update and proposes adjustments.
  • New deal triage: Scores fit, urgency, and authority when a new opportunity appears.
  • Deal review prep brief: Builds the one-page narrative a rep needs for an internal deal review.
  • Use stage-transition filters for automations that should only run when deals enter or leave a specific stage.
  • Keep instructions explicit about the output: qualification score, risk review, leadership ask, or next action.
  • Do not ask the automation to update Frameworks, warnings, or the rolling Deal summary again; that would duplicate the built-in refresh.
  • Test with a real deal and update payload before activating the automation for all reps.
