Message is a value type designed for outreach content. It gives each cell the fields and editor appropriate to its channel. You can write messages manually or choose Message as the output type of a Formula, AI, or Enrichment column.
Message variants
| Variant | Stored content | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Generic message | Message | Channel-neutral copy and reusable snippets. |
| Subject and body | Personalized email drafts. | |
| Call | Call script | Openers, discovery questions, and objection handling. |
| LinkedIn message | Message | Direct LinkedIn outreach. |
| LinkedIn connection request | Message | Short connection notes. |
Create a manual Message column
- Add a column and select Field.
- Choose Message as the value type.
- Select the message variant.
- Create the column, then select a cell to write or edit its content.
Generate messages with AI
- Add a column and select Use AI.
- Write an inline prompt or choose a list agent.
- Choose Message as the output type and select the channel.
- Reference the account and person context the message should use.
- Add a run condition when messages should only be generated for qualified or targetable rows.
- Run one cell, review the result, and then run the complete column.
Recommended inputs
Give the generating column enough context to be specific without overwhelming it. Useful inputs can include the account thesis, a recent signal, the person's role, the desired persona, and the objective of the outreach. State channel constraints such as tone, maximum length, and whether a call to action is required.
Review before outreach
- Confirm names, companies, and facts came from the correct row.
- Remove unsupported claims and overly generic personalization.
- Check that email subjects and bodies are in the correct fields.
- Keep connection requests within the limits of the destination channel.
- Regenerate or edit an individual cell when it needs a different angle.
