Bigmind can create Bigmind teams from Salesforce groups and keep their members and hierarchy synced. This helps your Salesforce team structure power Bigmind access policies, common filters, meetings, deals, accounts, coaching, and insights.
For the general Bigmind teams model, see Teams.
#Where to Manage Salesforce Teams
- Go to Settings > CRM > Salesforce.
- Open the Teams tab.
- Review the Salesforce groups Bigmind has synced.
- Click Create team in Bigmind for each group you want to use as a Bigmind team.
#How Sync Works
- Bigmind reads Salesforce groups, group members, and group hierarchy.
- Salesforce users are matched to Bigmind users through CRM user aliasing.
- When you create a Salesforce group in Bigmind, Bigmind creates a CRM-sourced team and adds matched members.
- Future Salesforce syncs update Bigmind team membership and hierarchy as Salesforce changes.
If a Salesforce group member does not have a matching Bigmind user, that person cannot be added to the Bigmind team until a Bigmind user exists and is matched to the Salesforce user.
#Hierarchy
Salesforce exposes group hierarchy to Bigmind. For Salesforce-sourced teams, hierarchy is managed in Salesforce and reflected in Bigmind after sync. This keeps Salesforce as the source of truth for the structure.
#What You Can Edit
- Members: Managed by Salesforce sync. Edit membership in Salesforce.
- Hierarchy: Managed by Salesforce sync. Edit parent and child relationships in Salesforce.
- Team removal: You can remove a created Salesforce-sourced team from Bigmind. This does not delete the group in Salesforce.
#Use Synced Teams in Bigmind
Once created, Salesforce-sourced teams appear on the Bigmind Teams page and can be used in Permission Policies.
#Troubleshooting
- A group shows 0 members: Confirm the Salesforce users are synced and matched to Bigmind users.
- Hierarchy looks outdated: Rerun the Salesforce group and group member syncs.
- You cannot edit members or hierarchy in Bigmind: This is expected for Salesforce-sourced teams because Salesforce is the source of truth.
